It’s funny how you can say these words using same letters and with the same words. Maybe with the same importance. The thing is, they are pronounced with different ways, with different expressions and with different punctuations. Definitely with different meanings.

People inside me
icon1 fishoi | icon2 Me | icon4 08 10th, 2008| icon3No Comments »

There are people inside me, some I know well and others I are lurking in the shadows. A few I love and am even proud of. A few I’m ashamed of and sometimes try to discard. The people inside me often disagree with one another. When one thinks I should diet another wants to eat. When one wants a cookie, one is shouting I should eat a leaf. When one is boastful, another reprimands her being a braggart. The people inside me have different aspirations. One is ambitious and very visible another wants to lead a quiet life and would just read a book. One takes work with her on fun in the sun another prefers long day adventures. So I must live with passion yet try for moderation with self confidence yet with doubts looking out for myself yet being there for others. For I am all of the people inside me.

Was written in a one boring but solemn day..

Bike
icon1 fishoi | icon2 Me | icon4 03 5th, 2008| icon32 Comments »
Bicycle was invented in Europe (which at first I thought it was in China) in nineteen hundreds which became the world’s most popular, cheapest and the simplest vehicle that provides recreation, activity which is used as a toy, fitness, military applications, courier services, and sports. It becomes the most efficient self-powered, energy-efficient, environment-friendly means of transportation.

Which also according to Einstein — “Life is like riding a bicycle, in keeping your balance you must keep moving.” — and unfortunately for me, I don’t even know how to ride a bike.

For the celebration of my 100th blog entry. I am dedicating this to my one and only idol…I am an addict on her. Some may call her Shawie, some call her Mega or The Megastar but for me she will always stay as Ms. Sharon Cuneta.
Things started when my Aunt Beck (who is also a fellow loyal fan) always looking forward for Sundays to watch T.S.C.S. also known as the “The Sharon Cuneta Show”. It’s like magic, I got hooked up right away. There this time when my Aunt Beck brought me to one of Sharon’s shows (you see, my aunt was my babysitter when I was a kiddie) and the rest is history. I followed Ms. Sharon’s story. From the first movie that I’ve watched ” Captain Barbell ” from her albums, to her love story with Gabby Concepcion and when Maria Kristina Cassandra Concepcion was brought to life. I also followed her heartbreak with Gabby then to her list of relationships with Richard Gomez, Rowell Santiago, Tonton Guttierez, Robin Padilla… and finally ends up with Francis Pangilinan. There are times that I agreed more and used her (and KC’s) endorsed products which have led me to use PH 5.5 as my feminine wash, switch off to globe, shop at Bayo, eating at Mcdo, chooses Nestle as the party ice cream, I even have my own “Kiko”. Sheesh.
I watched almost all her flicks, listened to all of her hits. Even now, I should not miss her Sharon show every Sunday in ABSCBN. She is blessed with royalty, beauty and humility. She is one of my weekly routines. I know, this thing that I have with her will not end. I don’t know. Part of me was inspired by her.

Month of February, great.

During middle ages, an English scholar named Johannes de Sacrobosco invented an idea that February was originally had 29 days which during leap year has 30 days. But of course, this was not proven feasible and until now, we are living 28 days (29 days leap year) during the month of Loooovvveeee. Now that the idea of love has been introduced, here comes Valentines Day and the most common figure? Heart.

Celebrated every 14th of the month, a traditional day that lovers express their undying love for each other. Funny, after the trick or treat last November, Christmas day on the 25th of December and the celebration of new year during the start of the year, January, giving gifts and expressing feeling haven’t been stopped. Everyone is still busy and making time for their love ones to feel special. Flowers, balloons, stuffed toys, candies, chocolates, heart shaped pillows are the most common gifts during this day. Some give their composed letter and almost two weeks of haven’t finished poems. Luckily, I am part of the Filipino culture where almost are naturally romantics.

This day is also the day where ladies were invited to have dinner with a gentleman. Can be in a fancy food or in a very expensive restaurants. Men do their very best to impress and be charming to their invited lady. Ladies do their best to look as beautiful and as amazing as they are on their men. Usually, this was also the time when families bound together to express love for each other. Singles? They go out on group dates with colleagues. Some just stayed at home and treat the day as a usual, typical day.

As for me, been to dates. Entertain gents. Received bunch of flowers that now were still kept in my treasure box. Ate a mouthful of chocolates and close to being a diabetic. Had a collection of teddies and popped out balloons.

Romantic dates where some can be funny, boring and much much of a bore. Some when you have fallen with their hilarious jokes and intellectual appraises, the next day their gone and nowhere to be found. Some when you find uninterested will be waiting on your doorstep the very next day. Some can become the right one - funny, smart, attractive, smells good ” but you find yourself saying “No”. Then abracadabra, it happened, I trip and fell for a Barry Bee Benson.

The truth is, this will be my first time to spend a Valentines Day with someone important in my life. I know, I had EXs but those are a different story. I don’t know why, but every time this day is on its way to send Cupid and target my heart, “the ex” and I always got into fights or he invented an excuse that he had some appointments with I don’t know who. Meaning there are nothing worth keeping with “that” except for dine outs with the some and some.

I am always looking forward for someone who together he and I holding hand in hand in this day. Going to a park with a checkered blanket perfectly rested in a well groomed grass, enjoying a cup of coffee and eating a freshly prepared tuna sandwich. Then after, he will play his guitar, I sing and dance in the samba’s tune. We’ll stay until darkness comes with candles, wine and cheese. Oh well. Poof! Daydreams.

Right now, ohh, I will still be experiencing the me and only me syndrome in this day. He’s there countries away, working. But knowing that at least that February 14 and the traditional day of Valentines are not that important. It is knowing that I am the exclusive and we are working on things to make this stay longer. No liars, two faced and someone cheating on their very faithful bf will make us go damaged.

As hopeless as it may sound, yes and still, I am still looking forward for 14. I don’t know. Let’s see what happen.

Baseball
icon1 fishoi | icon2 Me, Need Answers, Roadblock | icon4 01 21st, 2008| icon3No Comments »
In baseball, a pitch is the act of throwing a baseball toward home plate to start a play

Pitchers throw a variety of pitches, each of which has a slightly different velocity, trajectory, movement, hand position, wrist position and/or arm angle. These variations are introduced to confuse the batter in various ways, and ultimately aid the defensive team in getting the batter or baserunners out.

To obtain variety, and therefore enhance defensive baseball strategy, the pitcher manipulates the grip on the ball at the point of release. Variations in the grip cause the seams to “catch” the air differently, therefore changing the trajectory of the ball, making it harder for the batter to hit.

.. Someone made a hard hit, and still I don’t get it. Am I the batter or the ball?

Currently listening to Maroon 5’s tracks

A full grasp. Yes. A Go Signal. But I need to discontinue some things. Office complaints, bitterness with work and unpleasant emotional breakdowns. I know that I am the one who I should blame on what I am experiencing and feeling right now. Bring to an end the pointing of finger to something or somebody responsible for the wrong or unfortunate things that are happening. Stop making excuses and finding the way out. Hit on the red signal and start doing the baby steps.

I strongly believe that this year will be good. Wait, “good” is a lame word. Like “looking good and feeling good”. Naaah! I will be better. This year is going to be a BETTER year for me. I know. I am sure of that. 100% true. I am confident. I will create my own History.

I am going to be a BETTER PERSON and I AM CLAIMING it right NOW.
