Mine’s always considered as lame. With 1 tablespoon of Nescafe classic, 2 tablespoon of Bear brand’s powdered milk, 1 teaspoon brown sugar then that’s it, one good drink. Simple as it is, but once tasted you will ask for another.

Want to have some cups with me?

Do you ever feel that there this certain person that whatever you do, you have this strong agreeable sense that she dislikes you? ‘She’ hated you and will find reasons just to prove to all people (specifically in your workplace) that your acts are illegal. You shut up and be static not to catch her attention but still she notices you. Being invisible is the only solution for her to stop screwing your day but whatever you do or say these thing’s for sure… You are wrong! Who is she? She is 10 manager’s cubicle away from me. Period.

This too shall Pass” …Many thanks to learnings. Now, I can ignore her.

Three Day Plan
icon1 fishoi | icon2 random | icon4 08 17th, 2007| icon3No Comments »

In lieu of Ninoy Aquino day on Aug 21, Tuesday, President GMA declared Monday as a Special Non-working holiday. Yey! I can take three days off. Who wouldn’t want that kind of break? I got 11 unseen DVDs and 15 unread Books to accompany me through out my days of leisure. Wait! Did I hear “Boring”… Yeah! That’s me, call me Boring.

A list of To Do’s to make my three chill out days more productive.

18th of August:
  • If raindrop stops on wailing and the furious wind discontinues whistling, I will be going to office to make up the time that I missed last Wednesday.
  • Chat with you-no-who [honestly, this is my 90% of the reason why, hehe].
  • Organize all scattered documents inside my drawer. Sort out those are needed and put in trash all meaningless junks.
  • Finish my QA.
  • Status Report.
  • Indulge myself with a good cup of coffee. Or I’ll have two cups or three, just to unleash my cravings.
  • Finish my read ” Coffee Break Devotion. A self-help book, do I need help?
  • Then I can start with my next read. Thinking about finishing all Dan Brown’s published books. Already read Angels & Demons and Da Vinci code, wonder which next.
  • Be home before Mike Enriquez’s show starts.
  • Watch “Imbestigador” at channel 7.
  • Watch at least 1 DVD if my eyes still permits.
Heavenly Sunday of 19th:
  • Wake up slow.
  • Play with my little cousins.
  • Cook lunch ” Laing. With permission and help of Manay. Then make ihaw-ihaw the big Bangus. Now that’s what you call Lunch.
  • Watch DVDs.
  • Sleep. ZzzzzZZz.
  • Hear Mass with Moi and Poi.
  • Watch the best show on earth ” Sharon.
Holiday of 20th:
  • Clean my room in the morning
  • Be happy with National Bookstore.
  • Then off to BF Ruins to window shop.
  • Meet with my best bruha ever ” Gelyn.
  • Knowing her from the tip of her hair to the yucky scene of her toenails, I have to accompany her in make-up ’somewhere’ place. I’m never a make-up fanatic.
  • Spoil over with kape and sisig.
  • Read my newly started book.
  • Get ready for the next day, got flooding schedules.

The verdict says, “What boring does, boring gets”.

Missiness - feeling of longing; failure to show emotions because of the miles between them or the spaced out inches; discover somebody’s absence; desiring of somebody’s presence; distracted by just thinking of them; consciously know that they’ll be gone for a period of time; hoping for a hug, a kiss or a slight pat on the back; wanting to drown with his/her smiles; physically not beside you but emotionally, spiritually, mentally with you

Cannot define much… Oh well, I am feeling sooo much missiness

“No money, no honey” says in Sean John Combs’ song . No. Not true. We are so broke after our tadpole’s adventure but we are still able to Watch Ratatouille and The Simpsons. I have waited days and days to watch these animated flicks.

Young, broke and fun. Brings out the child in me.

Oh well, better get moving. Too many scripts.

Tadpole - 0721
icon1 fishoi | icon2 Personal, travel | icon4 08 15th, 2007| icon3No Comments »
Work buff, nope, we desperately need an escape Planning for the next adventure began in the first day of the week (0716). The original plan was to get cozy and be romantic in Tagaytay. We look for the cheapest hotel; one cost Php 1,900+ which was fine with our budgeted trip for Php 4,000 but the problem was that the hotel is too far from Tagaytay’s main point. We again try to find another hotel, any inn located in the place’s main attraction ” Taal Volcano - but its price is way too high. We did our research on hotels until the middle of the week drops. None. We are tensed.Fourth day of the week when my Koko suggested that we should have a cruise, in Corregidor! I got excited for the reason that this will be our first cruise together. One and a half hour cruise! Great!
We added a bulk of coins from our budgeted savings for our added activities and bliss. But tell you, everything was worth it.
Here was our chosen package:

Php 1,690.00 per head includes:

Roundtrip ferry transfers Shrine,

Entrance and terminal fees

Guided island tour

One buffet lunch

Accommodation

Buffet Lunch w/ welcome drink

For add on activities we have chosen the Regular (Php 350.00 per head; sunset/sunrise viewing, night lateral tour, easy hike) and Wellness (Php 350.00 per head; full body massage).

Day One Time: 5:00 am; Where: Room

Three hours of sleep was enough with someone who was so excited to wake up as early as possible. Two big bites of ‘pan de sal’ with cheese to fill my tommy tummy. Thirty minutes of bath can already assure my restless body that I’ll still look as fresh as if I have taken my one hour dip. Ten minutes to get ready. Two minutes, I’m out of the house.

Time: 6:30 am; Where: MRT Taft

Station On our meeting place, I arrived at exactly 6:20 am. That was too early for the 6:30 am ‘kitakits’ with my Koko. Suddenly, there, not one and a quarter meters away, a frowning chap already caught my attention. He looked at me as if I committed a crime. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, that is the love of my life who looks so irritated early in the morning. “Hey, I am not late! I arrived here ten minutes earlier”, were the words that were protesting inside my head. I was expecting for a kiss on my pinkish cheek but he didn’t. “What?” .

My crime: Was not able to send an sms informing him that I am on my way. Oh well, as you can see, these were one of our familiar, usual scenes when we meet up. We’ll get over it and cuddle after a minute and thirty seconds, I thought.

Time: 6:45 am to 8:17 am

We rode a cab going to Terminal A CCP Complex Roxas Boulevard. From there, the woman in cashier (sorry, forgot to ask her name) issued us tickets and the assurance that we availed everything that we worked out in the fifth day of the week. While waiting for the stewards to signal us that we should board the vessel, we have already made a hundred clicks.

It was already 7:30 am; first step inside the big boat was way too much of an excitement. Our seat was C24 and C25, C stands for center (that was a guess).
Exploring the 1st to the 2nd deck of the boat was like a kid who experienced riding the first carousel. It was my fourth time to cruise actually, but the feeling was just the same when you had your first.

The early morning coffee and hot choco can boost our mood, sadly, their coffee wasn’t the beans that my choosy tongue was looking for.

At exactly 8:17 am we left the terminal. We are officially in our adventure! Suddenly, my head felt the twirling and whirling of the world. Calm. Relax. It’s been years since I had my boat ride. Maybe I should spend time at ease. Time: 10:31 am; Where: Tadpole shaped island, Corregidor

Like what oldies always said about kissing the ground when you stepped an island or any place for the first time, well, that was exactly what I want to do but I did not. Shouting is way better even if people around you get pissed off because of your over reaction.

There were eight tramvia that will take you to Corregidor’s history spots. We chose number 4. Why four? Hmm, lovers always choose number 4. Kuya Carlos was our tour guide - small, slightly baldy, funny, and yet small. Luckily we rode a tramvia that was wheeled by the best tramvia driver in the whole island, Mang Oscar; he just got his license the day before our tour.

According to our guide, the middle side barracks was the reason why the fall of Bataan happened in year 1942. Corregidor depended mostly on their water supply on Bataan, an idea of disguising these supplies into a tennis court. It was then that Japanese discovered where Filipinos and Americans hid these supplies because in the Second World War, Japan was the only country who produces cement; spying was the skill Japanese are good at — these were delivered to United States and were used in building of the barracks in Corregidor.

As a defense, the battery gears where used to destroy Japan’s attempted landings in Corregidor. Most of the fortifications protect the island from enemies, who the only goal was to capture the rest of the land and the whole country.

“Sleep, my sons, your duty done, for Freedom’s light has come; sleep in the silent depths of the sea, or in your bed of hallowed sod, until you hear at dawn the low, clear reveille of God”

The Pacific War Memorial is the symbol of the Filipino and Americans who took part in the war and fought for victory. The main attraction of the dome is the memorial altar in a circular shape. According to our guide, every May 6th of the year, a light falls in the altar during the hours of daylight. From the Eternal Flame of Freedom steel, it gave us an awe-inspiring 360 degrees view of Manila Bay, shore of Cavite and cape of Bataan. A monument that reminds every Filipinos the hopes, sacrifices, and desires of all men who struggled and fought for freedom.

Afternoon came, we watched the unpredictable drama of the sunset. It was our first time to watch wholly the sun going into rest. As regal as she always was, she gave me hopes of the things that can be experienced in my journey, our journey. A feeling that was so desirable that you wanted the sun not to leave and should always stay but still no matter what happen its radiance will led us in a more possibilities and chances. All you have to do is to feel the trust of what in store with this little star.

>Evening tour came, we visited the Army Hospital. The hospital was built in 1912, and unfortunately was ruined during the war. From the outside, goose bumps were running in my veins, cold feet that signals me that there were unknown spirits walking with us. With a crossed shaped structure that can be viewed when you are 500 meters way up from where you are standing. We took pictures in the hospital’s morgue, which according to Bryan [our tour guide when after six came] you can capture an encircled something anywhere the room. Orbs can be seen in your ever dependable cameras [speaking of digital cam " Thank you so much Jose the fourth!]. We took few of that ’something’. Shivers. Thank goodness, my Honey Koko is such a William Turner to the rescue when I feel like shaking.
Our last tour that day happened in Malinta Tunnel. During the construction of the tunnel, workers named it ‘malinta’ [many leeches] because there are countless leeches appeared in the tunnel’s formation. Our guide explained every lateral of the tunnel. Same as I have experienced in the hospital, this was a less hair raising, eerie feeling. This can be considered as a mysterious and strange tour yet can give you a sense of adventure that it could send a cold chill in your spine, well it happened to me.
After a tiring day, we had a quick dinner then off to massage! A good massage for a good sleep
Time: 4:45 am; Where: Two one four

Next day came, with my sleepy eyes wanted not to see the sun rays touching my skin. But still, thanks to my Honey Koko who patiently pulled me off to bed, “Good morning sunshine…” he said. Just in time to ride the tramvia, so sleepy and so tired and I even forgot to tie my hair. Messy hair in the morning was one of my favorite look. After the thirty minutes of sitting, clicking and waiting, there I saw my sun shines. So beautiful, so stunning yet shy. New day, new chances, it opens my Pandora’s Box. Every glimmer it brings, it gives life to my skin. Hopes and wishes granted. Its rays are running after my lips, so keen to touch my morning breath. My sunshine. Our last stop would be the Spanish Lighthouse. We saw the spectacular view of the island, South China Sea, Cavite, Bataan and Manila Bay. We still have five hours of rest until we need to leave the island. Aww.

Pity me, in my secondary years I did not pay much attention in my history class. I should have listened. It gave me a bunch of chills as if I were in the war scene while having the tour. You can still feel the courage and the cry for freedom of all the men who fought; the passion of bravery and the blood sacrificed while you were in the island. They were the reason why I am where I am standing. Inspirations to never give up and to value the right spread our wings. This tour can be considered as entertaining, adventurous, a feel of horror, and much of the history.

In my next visit, perhaps I will be bringing my Mamoi and Papoi [Fact: my Papoi is a patriot]. Or my little hopes running and screaming aloud. ‘Til our next escapade. Wonder where it would be. Doesn’t matter, my head say.

What pains me most is that two of the best people in my life are hurting. One cannot answer my questions and one is seeking for my answers. The most appropriate and the modest thing to do is put yourself in the middle of these unparallel, sentimental creatures. Both are my good companions who chooses to see each other as more than friends. Now, both became a boa constrictor who wants to squash my head, punch my body and eat my soul. Both are asking for my help. Two different views, emotions and perceptions.

As the rain violently gave her morning drizzles as early as 5:00 am, it already send a sign in my spine that I can spend my Wednesday sleeping in my twin sister, divan. Never did I agree with this cloud-watery weather. I’d rather nap and choose to stay in my ‘home sweet home’. Unfortunately, not all people were blessed with their wish on taking their day off. Instead when my ever dependent alarm clock gave her high pitched tone at 6:30am asking me to wake, I never wasted a minute and prepared myself to work.

Left the house at 7:30am, with jeans folded up until it reaches my knees. Slip on my pink with white strapped slippers, dressed in baby collared white tee, wore my white hooded sweater, scuffed my sun-kissed blush, on my right hand was my aqua blue umbrella then off to the squelchy streets.

Rode a tricycle going to ‘Caltex’ where all jeepneys are going to Pasay Rotonda, MRT Taft Station. This mini ride was supposed to exit me to the subdivision, but it was like I am riding a thousand miles, it took me thirty long minutes. But when I already gave my 7.00php to ‘Mang’ tricycle driver, I saw endless line of people who are also going to the same place. I then got back to the tricycle and asked ‘Mang’ driver to drop me to tryk terminal.

From the terminal, it will take me ten to fifteen minute walk to reach the place to ride a bus. Here I go again clashing with the pouring mizzles and sturdy wind. Like what I encountered in ‘Caltex’, there were also numerous people competing for a bus ride. Knowing that I can easily squeeze myself to bus’s door, I won!

I took a bus going to Magallanes, MRT station, but my instinct was wrong, before we reach the toll plaza from South Super Highway going to EDSA, there starts the super slow moving traffic jam. I thought of going back to ‘Caltex’ and wait for a jeepney but everything’s too late. I became restless, it was already 8:30am and I am in the middle of all these non moving vehicles. I was riding a non air conditioned bus, I was standing, I am rain-wet, I can barely feel a man’s breathe in my nape, I am inside the bus for one and a half hour, and I should be in the office by 9:00am.

Then everything inside the bus was surprised when our Mang Bus driver argued with his co-bus driver. What happened was they both broke each other’s rear view mirror. Haha. The sight was so hilarious, they were arguing like kids. Even the worst experience can be so funny and so depressing at the same time.

After some fuss, all passengers were back with a frowning face when we found out that there were two buses that accidentally bumped each other and results the catastrophic traffic ” and cause on being so so so late, for me.

Everything was a jinx. Or was it just me?
Gladly, I finally make it to Magallanes. Once I lay my feet outside the bus, I can already feel my leg muscles and bones cracking. Maybe it was because of my almost two hour ride standing.

I excitedly run to the station’s escalator to at least let my legs be relaxed, but what upsets me more was that the escalator was under repair or ’something’. Annoyingly, I climbed the 28 step escalator. Had no choice.

“Pag tinamaan ka nga naman ng malas, lahat na malas!”

10:20am, too late for 9:00am. Have waited to ride MRT for 10mins, then I press myself in a sardine’s like scene inside the train, the only time I took my seat was when we already reached GMA Kamuning station which was the last station before I reach Q. Ave MRT station. Great!

Like a prisoner who experienced his first day being a free man, I eagerly wanted to leave the station and wanted to make it to the office as fast as I can.

Walking with big steps in Q. Ave overpass, I accidentally semi-slipped (define semi-slipped: you slipped but not really; this cause a two to three seconds disappearance of your poise). The floor was slick and wet because of heavy rain’s help.

For the second time, I took tricycle going to ELJCC. At last, nothing ‘unusual’ happened. Then finally, I reached my seat at exactly 11am.

Turn on my computer, fill my orangey & greeny tumbler with water, place my 2 mobile phones in my left side of the table, put peaches & cream flavored lotion in my hands, feel the wellness of my keyboard, yellowy spongebob desktop background, click on the itunes, headset in keenly little ears..

Then, its John Mayer’s … Gravity…

It says all.
